Michael Armstrong formed Hamlin Capital Advisors in 2012 as a Principal. Previously, he worked for more than a decade as an investment banker for Raymond James, with a specific focus on raising tax-exempt debt capital for health care and long-term care providers. He was responsible for providing strategic advisory services, including the structuring and execution of complex bond and derivative transactions for his healthcare and long-term care clients. Prior to this role, Michael worked in the firm’s corporate finance group, where he was active in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and financial advisory assignments. Over the course of his career, he has structured more than $2.5 billion in bond financings, with the largest single financing over $1 billion.
